Early voting numbers in Kentucky

Thousands of Kentuckians have already taken advantage of early voting opportunities around the commonwealth ahead of Election Day on Tuesday, officials said.

According to a post from Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams at X, formerly Twitter, more than 225,000 Kentuckians voted early Thursday, and more are expected to follow suit Friday and Saturday.

As of Friday, there has been only one report of difficulties at polling places in Kentucky after a video showing a voter unable to select former President Donald Trump on a ballot machine surfaced online.

Officials said the faulty machine was taken out of service after an investigation and the affected voter was able to cast his vote normally.

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear is calling for statewide voting

Governor Andy Beshear and First Lady Britainy cast their votes for the 2024 general election as early voting began around Kentucky.

In Jefferson County, voters can visit one of 20 locations to cast their ballot early in the 2024 general election.

In-person voting without an excused absentee will take place from 8.00-18.00 Friday and Saturday at the following locations:

  • Berrytown Recreation Center at 1300 Heafer Road.
  • Bowman Field-Administration Building at 2815 Taylorsville Road.
  • Cyril Allgeier Community Center at 4101 Cadillac Court.
  • Epiphany United Methodist Church at 7032 Southside Drive.
  • Goodwill Opportunity Campus at 2820 W. Broadway.
  • Immanuel United Church of Christ at 2300 Taylorsville Road.
  • Jefferson County Clerk’s Office-West Branch at 228 Amy Ave.
  • Kentucky Center for African American Heritage at 1701 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd.
  • Lyndon Elks Lodge #2052 at 904 Ormsby Lane.
  • New Zion Baptist Church at 1501 Louis Coleman Jr. Drive.
  • Okolona Christian Church at 10801 Faithful Way.
  • St. Andrew United Church of Christ at 2608 Browns Lane.
  • St. Simon and Jude Catholic Church at 4335 Hazelwood Ave.
  • Sun Valley Community Center at 6505 Bethany Lane.
  • Teamsters Local Union #783 at 7711 Beulah Church Road.
