Denton County reports over 248,000 ballots cast during first week of early voting

More than 248,000 in-person and mail-in ballots have been cast in Denton County ahead of the Nov. 5 election, according to county elections office.

Of the 248,342 ballots received, 8,893 ballots were returned by post between Sept. 30-Oct. 27, according to Denton County election data.

Denton County has 664,288 registered voters, according to the county website. The earliest ballots represent a 37% turnout.

What is on the ballot

Ballots will feature several federal and state races as well as Denton County-specific races, which include:

  • Denton County Sheriff
  • Denton County Commissioner, Precinct 1
  • Denton County Constable, Precinct 6

Registered voters in Denton County are able to cast their ballots at any precinct 54 polling stations during the early voting period. Voting times may vary for polling places and are:

  • 7.00-19.00 from 28 October-Nov. 1
