Arnold Schwarzenegger shared an amazing reaction after an NFL player wore a wild Terminator costume

Arnold Schwarzenegger may have gained widespread fame when he was cast as Conan the Barbarian, but it’s arguably safe to say that his most iconic role after all these years is the various incarnations of the T-800 in Terminator film. The sci-fi franchise as a whole can be hit and miss, but the first two films in particular still hold up Terminator 2: Judgment Day ranked as one of the best films of the 1990s. So when an NFL player wore a wild costume of it for the Halloween season, Schwarzenegger shared a big reaction.

Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett went all out to make himself look like the T-800 Terminator 2there was no antagonist like his predecessor from The Terminatorbut had been reprogrammed to help John and Sarah Connor. Instead of just donning the same kind of leather jacket and pants that Schwarzenegger wore in the 1991 film, he also donned a mask to make himself look like the cyborg with part of his robotic face exposed. Talk about going all out! Now, if you’re wondering how Garrett got his hands on such a mask, this beauty was designed by Mike Castro of Madness FX for the football star to wear when he arrived at the Browns’ game against the Baltimore Ravens. ESPN’s Adam Schefter shared a close-up of the T-800 mask on X (formerly known as Twitter)then admire how intricate this thing looks:

Between the great lengths he went to make this Terminator costume and the approval he got from Arnold Schwarzenegger, Myles Garrett can chalk this up as a win for his book. In fact, it was his second win on October 27, when the Browns also beat the Ravens 29-24. While it would have been fun if Garrett had continued to wear the mask during the game, I also wouldn’t have wanted to see it damaged, not to mention the obvious visual impairment.

As the current state of Terminator franchise goes while anime Terminator Zero was met with positive critical reception when it was released to Netflix subscription holders in late August, the film series has been stuck in limbo ever since Terminator: Dark Fate underperformed commercially in 2019. James Cameron, who co-created the franchise with Gale Ann Hurd and was one of Dark destiny‘s executive producers, acknowledged that he “torpedoed” the film before a word was written because it was aimed at an older audience, so there was “nothing in the film for a new audience.” Linda Hamilton has also said that she never intends to play Sarah Connor again.
