Score predictions for Week 11 of Kentucky high school football

The final week of the high school football regular season has arrived. Over the next few days, postseason matchups will slowly fill out as schools from across the state look to make a run to Kroger Field in December. We have an exciting week ahead, where we also have to close the regular season.

We start with byes. Like No. 3 TrinityNo. 4 CooperNo. 15 the highlandsNo. 23 Beech treeand No. 24 Johnson Central are all off after finishing regular season play last week. Despite that, we still have three Top 25 games to go along with an exciting KSR Game of the Week showdown out west.

No. 1 Boyle County hosts No. 10 Frederick Douglass as this week’s headliner. The Rebels have won 31 straight games, the last loss coming to Douglass back in 2022. We’ll also be treated to a top 10 matchup in Louisville between No. 5 Male and No. 8 DuPont Manual, while No. 7 St. Xavier hosts No. 19 Bowling Green just down the road.

As for this week’s KSR game, Piper McCown will make its way out to Steele Stadium in Western Kentucky as No. 9 Owensboro Catholic looks to finish the regular season undefeated. Standing in the way of the Aces will be a North Hardin team receiving votes in KSR’s latest rankings poll. A big win for the Trojans right before the playoffs would do wonders for their momentum heading into the postseason. For a full preview of that match, click here.

As we prepare for action in Week 11, we predict the outcome of each of Friday’s big games. By using Massey Ratings – a system created in 1999 by statistician Kenneth Massey that was used to help determine the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) until 2013 – we are able to connect all high school teams across the state to one tool, that will predict the final result of a given matchup.

As a quick explanation, Massey Ratings computer ratings are based on historical trends and current year statistics. With that in mind, it will take a few weeks of play before the numbers start to hit their stride. However, you won’t find a more reliable system to use in terms of predicting results during the first few weeks of the regular season.

Under, we have included score predictions for all KSR’s Top 25 teamsalong with the additional teams receiving votes from our panel of voters.
