Amazon offers ‘Wicked’ Prime perks, tie-ins to customers

Amazon Wicked Partnership

Amazon partners with Universal to promote ‘Wicked’.

A “wicked” month is upon us for Amazon shoppers and Prime members thanks to the e-tailer’s new partnership with Universal Pictures.

From Wednesday 30 October at 9 EDT, members of Amazon Prime’s paid subscription program can purchase advanced screening tickets through digital ticketing platform Fandango at OzOnAmazon.com to see “Wicked” in select theaters across the US on November 18 at 19.00, four days before the film’s wide theatrical release.

Other partnerships that Amazon has entered into to extend the benefits of Prime membership include integrations with BP Serve fuel saving program and with food delivery platform Pit hub.

Amazon’s “Wicked” partnership with Universal also includes a number of offers that all customers can participate in. Every “Wicked Wednesday” from October 30th to November 27th, a collection of content and officially licensed merchandise will be available on the dedicated Amazon Wicked page.

Customers can also search #wicked on Amazon.com or in the Amazon shopping app to uncover themed products, content and experiences; and the e-tailer ties the film together with several of his personal digital devices.

For example, “Wicked” themes for the Alexa voice assistant allow users to follow Elphaba (The Wicked Witch of the West) or Glinda (Glinda the Good) through two-themed experiences on features like weather, timers, alarms and jokes.
