Amanda Bynes debuts striking new black and blonde hairstyle while out for coffee in LA

Amanda Bynes showed off a new two-tone hair color on Thursday.

The Amanda Show star, 38, was blonde on top and had black locks underneath. There also seemed to be some blue hues.

The star also wore heavy make-up with a septum piercing and a nose ring when she was spotted in Los Angeles.

Amanda wore a black sweatshirt and leggings with a black leather jacket while carrying a small black handbag.

The former teen star left a coffee shop with two drinks – an iced coffee and a hot cup of coffee.

She slipped her feet into a pair of flat silver loafers for her coffee errand.

Earlier this year, Amanda opened up about her battle with depression and how it has affected her weight.

‘I’ve gained over 20 lbs. for the past few months from being depressed,’ the Hairspray star wrote on her Instagram Stories in March.

‘I feel much better now and have learned to do the opposite when I don’t feel like working out or eating clean.’

‘I weigh 162 lbs. right now and want to get back to 110 lbs,” she added.

These days, she approaches her mental health in a healthier way than when she was younger, abusing cocaine and Adderall to keep the weight off.

She said she started spiraling after seeing herself playing a boy in the 2006 film She’s the Man.

“When the movie came out and I saw it, I went into a deep depression for 4-6 months because I didn’t like how I looked when I was a boy,” she told Paper magazine.

The short hair and sideburns she wore for the role was a super strange and out of body experience. It just really put me in a funk.’

That’s when she started experimenting with drugs as a means of losing weight. This eventually led to an Adderall addiction.

“I definitely abused Adderall,” she said at the time, after “reading an article in a magazine that (called Adderall) ‘the new skinny pill,’ and they talked about how women were taking it to stay thin. I thought, “Well, I’ll have to get my hands on that.”

That whole experience was a big part of why she decided to stop acting in 2012.
