How did Stan approach his portrayal of Trump?

In an interview with USA today before the publication of The apprentice in cinemas, Sebastian Stan – who has starred as the Winter Soldier in Avengers movie as well as Tommy Lee in the Hulu series Pam and Tommy-talked about how he delved into the process of playing the young version of future US President Donald Trump.

“How do you take on the most famous person in the world? Someone that people feel so strongly about and that everyone has an impression of?” Stan told USA today. “I was assured (by director Ali Abbasi that) there was something underneath all the noise that was important to explore. Namely, why do people do what they do?”

The 2024 Republican presidential candidate slammed The apprentice as “fake and classless” on his Truth Social account after the film was released in theaters.
