St. Frances Academy, the nation’s road warriors, finally gets a home game as it hosts nationally ranked IMG Academy at Baltimore’s Hughes Stadium on the campus of Morgan State University.

– IMG Academy returns the kickoff back to St. Frances 25 as it badly needs points.

– TOUCHDOWN! Catastrophic setting for IMG. They fumble the ball and St. Frances returns it 71 yards for a touchdown. The Panthers missed the extra point attempt, but now own a commanding 23-3 lead with 7 minutes remaining.

– Jayden Wade is at QB for IMG and they go backwards with a false start and a sack. It’s 2nd and goal from 13.

– Ty Hawkins has had a big night with his legs. He runs for 26 and IMG has a 1st and goal on the six.

– The teams exchange penalties. A personal foul and a false start put IMG in a 2nd and 25th at St. France’s 42, but the Panthers give them back 15 yards on a pass interference call. Meanwhile, the clock has been set down by 8 minutes.

– IMG moves to SFA 27 after a PI call. The Ascendars still trail by 14 with 9:01 left.

– SFA’s drive stops. IMG takes over at 44.

– After the opening kick in the second half, IMG has a fantastic field position at St. Frances 49.

– St. France’s defenses won’t budge. IMG Academy strikes once again.

– IMG gets a stop and SFA hits it back. Ascendars are on their own 35.

– A personal abuse on the SFA defense followed by two big runs by Ty Hawkins has IMG threatening at St. Frances 39.

– CANCELLATION! Blake Woodby picks off a tipped ball and St. Frances gets the ball back on her 7.

– CANCELLATION! IMG’S Dominick Kelly recovers the ball for the Ascendars who have the football at their own 44. 5 minutes left in the third quarter.

– IMG Academy still can’t get any traction in the attack. St. Frances forces another punt. The Panthers have the ball back at their own 22.

– The panthers are moving again. Jaylen Burke runs for a first down to the 35. Bryce Deas then blocks a defender for a 15-yard gain, but is called for a personal foul, giving the ball back at the SFA 35.

– Jae’oyn Williams moves the chains for the Panthers with a first down run out to the 50 as the third quarter draws to a close.

– IMG will move to SFA 37 when the second quarter opens. A pass interference call then moves it to 27.

– The Panther defense responds with a TFL after a holding penalty. 2. and 22.

– FAIL TARGET! IMG returns to the 24 and scores the game’s first points as Joseph Collins makes a 40-yard field goal. IMG leads 3-0 with 10 minutes left in the first half.

– To answer, moves St. Frances from his own 23 out to midfield as Damon Hall comes down with a great grab.

– Jaylen Burke makes a first down catch at the IMG 30.

– SFA faces a huge 3rd and 7 from the IMG 27 with 7 minutes left in the 2nd quarter.

– FAIL TARGET! St. Frances pulls even with a 44-yard field goal by Madden Berg. It’s 3-3. 5:56 left in the first half.

– IMG goes 3 and out on its next possession. St. Frances is ready to get the ball back on a punt.

– Panthers are on the move again. They are down at the IMG 42 with less than four minutes left in the first half.

– The Panthers moved to the edge of the red zone, but a personal foul penalty pushes them back to the 35.

– A Jeremiah Kroger reception gives SFA first place and a goal at IMG 5.

– TOUCHDOWN! Quarterback Jae’oyn Williams powers in from the 1. Panthers lead, 10-3. 2:16 to play in the half.

– IMG gets a big return on kickoff. The Ascenders are on their own 47.

– Under two minutes and IMG faces a 3rd and 4th at St. Frances 47.

– The Ascendants have returned again. They strike once more.

– A penalty backs up the Panthers to their own 7.

– SFA threatens again as Williams breaks off a 61-yard run. The Panthers are at the IMG 34 with 50 seconds left. Timeout.

– Damon Hall with another spectacular catch has St. Frances inside IMG 5. Timeout with only 7 seconds left in the first half.

– TOUCHDOWN! Hall takes over the game. He has 4-yard touchdown reception. The kick is good and the Panthers lead 17-3.

– St. Frances gets the ball first.

– Panthers start strong with a few first downs as they move to IMG 40.

– SFA fumbles, but recovers.

– The Panthers’ drive stalls and they punt it away

– IMG completes a long pass, Ty Hawkins to Adonis Moise, and moves onto St. France’s territory.

– The Ascendars are backed up and face a 3rd and 20 and the Panthers’ 44.

– IMG QB Hawkins is down going for a fourth down with backup.

– SFA holds. IMG things better than that and punts. The Panthers have it at their own 12.

– Jaylen Burke makes a nice third down run for the conversion. First down Panthers at their own 25.

– The drive stalls, and IMG takes over at its own 28 after a punt.

– Hawkins returns to IMG and completes a pass across midfield to Eric McFarland III. Ascenders have it at SFA 42.

– We are in the last minute of the first quarter.
