US Presidential Election 2024: Forbes Poll Shows Harris SLIGHTLY Leading Trump

A recent Forbes poll released Thursday (Oct. 31) shows Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris has a “barely one-point edge” over Republican nominee Donald Trump.

The new national HarrisX/Forbes poll marked a statistically tied race just a week before the Nov. 5 election, but here’s the plot; one in 10 voters could change their mind at the last minute.

The poll showed Harris leading Trump by 48-49 percent of the vote.

The survey echoed Forbes’ last survey a week ago, which found Trump with a 49-48 percent lead including “slimmers.”

The poll also showed the vice president leading 49-48 percent of the vote across the seven battleground states that are likely to decide the winner.

About 10 percent of potential voters and 16 percent of registered voters are still weighing their choices, which just means the results could be anything.

‘Deceptive doctoring’ by Harris’ ’60 Minutes’ interview

The Forbes poll came the same day Trump sued CBS News for $10 billion over an interview with Harris that aired on the bureau’s “60 Minutes” news program in early October, and that the lawsuit alleges was misleading.

The complaint alleged that the network aired two different responses from Harris responding to a question about the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.

Trump has repeatedly attacked the network on the campaign trail during the episode and has threatened to revoke CBS’s broadcast license if elected. CBS has said Trump backed out of his own scheduled interview with “60 Minutes.”

The version that aired on the Oct. 6 “60 Minutes” program did not include what the lawsuit calls a “word salad” response from Harris about the Biden administration’s influence on Israel’s conduct of the war.

“Former President Trump’s repeated allegations against 60 Minutes are false,” a spokesperson told CBS News. “The lawsuit Trump filed today against CBS is completely without merit, and we will vigorously defend against it.”
