Davante Adams clears the concussion record in a big Jets sigh of relief

The Jets were spooked by one of their stars.

But they not only avoided the worst, they also saw some signs of life.

Davante Adams was evaluated for a concussion after taking a hard hit early in the fourth quarter of the Jets’ “Thursday Night Football” game against the Texans at MetLife Stadium.

But he returned with about four minutes left in the final quarter of regulation after clearing the concussion protocol and then scored his first touchdown in a Jets uniform.

With the Jets in a fourth-and-short situation near midfield, Aaron Rodgers connected with Adams on a 17-yard gain before the wideout took a hard hit on the sideline from Houston safety Eric Murray.

Adams stayed on the ground for a few moments before getting up on the Jets’ sideline.

He was then taken to the blue medical tent and then to the locker room where he was evaluated for a concussion.

After time off the field, Adams returned to action with the Jets leading 14-10 after Garrett Wilson’s go-ahead touchdown.

And with just over three minutes left, Rodgers found a streaking Adams down the seam on the other side of the field, and the two connected for a 37-yard touchdown.

Crazy turnaround for the Jets.
