How celebrities celebrate Halloween with their children

It’s Halloween night, and in 2024, it’s the most Halloween-like Halloween in a long time. Not only did we have a Halloween weekend last weekend, costumes and parties galore, but there’s still Halloween tomorrow and another Halloween weekend this coming weekend. With such a spooky season, celebrities are going all out, including celebrity families who are already celebrating in unique ways.

While most families will be trick-or-treating, quite a few celebrities celebrate with their families in super cool ways like matching costumes, Halloween photo shoots, and cool events.

Christina Ricci might not be the biggest Halloween fan, but this year is going to be big because it will be her daughter Cleo’s first time trick or treating.

In a rare interview with PEOPLE of her new Cat Full of Spiders tarot deck, she said: “I’m not a big fan of Halloween, but my youngest daughter, who is only 2 years and 8 months, happens to be just as unnaturally obsessed with anything that involves Halloween to do.

“So she’s going to have her first Halloween where she goes out dressed up,” the proud mom added. “It should be pretty fun. She’s very excited about it.”

So Hilarie Burton is known as the “haunted housewife” in her neighborhood and goes big for Halloween with her kids. “My favorite thing we’ve ever done is get involved in my child’s school,” she shared PEOPLE. “There really wasn’t a Halloween party in town, so last year I put together a haunted house at my son’s middle school. Each parent brought a 10 x 10 pop-up tent and we put them all together for a whole house of rooms .”

She added: “This year I have to make it bigger than last year. It’s a lot of pressure.”

Drew Scott and Linda Phan are all about the costumes, and they’re already at it with their kids Parker and Piper.

In a rare interview with PeopleScott revealed the first of their 2024 Halloween costumes, and it’s such a nostalgic idea: it’s the characters from Where the Wild Things Are.

“We had a little kids party this morning… Yeah. It was pretty fun,” Scott told the outlet. “So we dressed up as Where the Wild Things Are. So Piper and Parker are both Max and we’re Wild Things .”

He added: “Because they are our bosses and we did it this morning. We are here tonight.”

Jennifer Love Hewitt loves all holidays and this year; she hinted at the Halloween tradition she wants to continue with her three children. On October 30, she shared a video for her Instagram storythat shows a Halloween tradition: where you let your child trick or treat, enjoy some of the candy, and then leave the rest of their candy overnight so the “Switch Witch” can take it and give them toys instead!

Hewitt reposted this video and said, “I do this every year with my kids! It’s amazing!”

In case you missed it, Shemar Moore and Jesiree Dizon shared a compilation video on Oct. 23 of him, her, Frankie, and Dizon’s daughter Charli having the best day ever at the pumpkin patch. He shared it heartwarmingly video to his Instagram with the captionreads, “Happy Spooky Season FAM .”

In the video, we see Moore and Frankie holding hands, walking around the park together, with Frankie giggling so much throughout. We see the family jumping around on the pumpkins and exploring the patch, as well as Frankie running through a pipe to her father, laughing as he holds her in his arms.

We can also see them getting into the spooky fun as a family!
