Halsey Says ‘Powerful’ Music Exec Went Through Nude Pics Without Consent

Halsey shares details about a “demoralizing” experience she had with a music executive. During an interview with Call her dadthe musician revealed that a “powerful” boss once went through her nude photos on his phone without her consent during a dinner.

“And when it happened, in that moment, I thought, ‘You’re nothing.’ You are nothing. You will always be nothing,” Halsey said of the experience. “You’re still just that damn girl who gets taken advantage of, or that men talk about you behind your back, or you’re some kind of similar security”. I thought, “You are nothing.” It was so demoralizing.”

The great impersonator the musician said she was out for a “very celebratory” dinner with the “really powerful executive,” who asked to take a photo with Halsey to show his niece. When she left to use the bathroom, the boss had access to her unlocked phone and when she returned, he scrolled through her nude photos.

“I saw him going through my nudes on my phone,” Halsey said. “I was just frozen … I didn’t even know what to do. I was like, ‘Did I just set myself up for that? Was it an accident?’ I was like, ‘Did the phone roll up? What the hell just happened?’

Halsey said she feared the man might have sent himself naked as well.

“Did he throw them to himself and then delete the messages? I don’t even know where they are now,” she said.

The new interview with Halsey comes about a week after the singer released her album The great impersonatorseam Rolling Stone described as her “rawest, darkest” music ever.
