Heidi Klum and Tom Kaulitz dress up as ET for Halloween 2024

It’s Heidiween again

Every year since 2000, Heidi Klum has hosted her famous Halloween bash, turning up in some seriously out-of-this-world costumes that others wouldn’t dare wear – think a peacock, an old lady and, of course, a worm look , which became an instant classic.

And this time is certainly no exception.

The model and her husband, Tom Kaulitz, both dressed up as versions of alien ET from the beloved 1982 film “ET the Extra-Terrestrial”.

Klums ET had a hat and a blonde wig reminiscent of a memorable scene from the Steven Spielberg-directed blockbuster, as Drew Barrymore’s character, Gertie, gives him a makeover.

Her latest look was created with the help of expert prosthetics designer Mike Marino, who has worked on projects including Max’s “The Penguin” and Sebastian Stan’s latest film, “A Different Man.”

He was also responsible for Klum’s worm costume in 2022 and 2018’s Shrek and Fiona couple costume with Kaulitz.

Leading up to the big red carpet, Klum shared photos from her long preparation process, including a photo of her face covered in prosthetics and another holding a big toe.

Klum first shared a sneak peek of her outfit back in September.

“#HeidiHalloween is starting to take shape… ,” she wrote the videoshowing a preview of her highly anticipated costume.

The appearance in the clip appeared to be some sort of slimy reptile; however, she gave no further hints.

She also showed the making process on Amazon Live, declaring the look her “least comfortable” costume ever.

In one exclusive interview with People in September, the “America’s Got Talent” judge reveals that she has, of course, been working on the costume for months.

“Because molds have to be made,” she told the outlet. “Prostheses must be made and fitted.”

“So yeah, a lot goes into it because I wanted to be so spectacular that it’s not something I can just throw together overnight.”

Although she nails it every time, Klum told the publication that she often feels pressured when it comes to revealing her annual costume.

“It takes a long time. It takes a lot of planning,” explains the former “Project Runway” host.

“And also when I reveal, I want to have a special reveal because I know I have so many fans, and those special Halloween fans are people who also love to dress up and come up with amazing things.

“So I feel like they’re really looking at what I’m doing, and I don’t want to let anybody down, so I always give it my all,” Klum adds.

Consensus? Her costume was worth the wait.
