Trolling homeowner arrested after police chase in Burrillville

Police released bodycam video in the arrest of the owner of the magic house, Jacqueline Nunez.

Video shows police following a white Lexus driving recklessly in Burrillville Monday shortly after 1 p.m.

Nunez led police on a chase through several different streets before finally stopping on Wallum Lake Road.

“Driver show us your hands!”

The police approached her and repeatedly asked her to turn off the car.

The police report says officers smelled an overwhelming odor of alcohol on Nunez’s breath.

Police said she had bloodshot and glassy eyes.

“I had a few drinks and I live in the magic house,” Nunez said.

She then asked the officers if they usually handcuff people who drank a few Manhattans.

“Why are there multiple officers pulling up behind me because I had a few drinks,” Nunez said.

She wore her Wizard House shirt and laughed repeatedly during the sobriety tests.

Nunez was issued a citation for DUI and reckless driving, in addition to other traffic violations.

NBC 10’s Molly Levine contributed to this report.
