This year marks Hoda’s last Halloween with her Today colleagues when she announced that she would be leaving the show in early 2025. The broadcaster recently moved to a new neighborhood with her children, Haley and Hope, and said she was excited for Halloween in the suburbs.

“Halloween is so much fun in the suburbs,” said the mother of two Today with Hoda & Jenna on October 18. “We used to go trick-or-treating at CVS and the dry cleaners and (a nail salon). … My kids thought trick-or-treating was going into a store and having the lady behind the counter put some (candy) in your bag.”

“Everywhere I look in our city, (there are) the big spider webs, all the things,” Hoda added. “They have parades. They said, ‘Your kid needs three Halloween costumes or the first one will be ruined.’

So after she finishes at Today Show this Halloween, Hoda will probably go home to have fun with her girls.

“Some people block off their streets for block parties and then go trick-or-treating and then come back,” she revealed. “It’s a day long thing.”

Last year for Today‘s Halloween extravaganza, Hoda and Jenna dressed up as Sonny and Cher. They ended up going on stage to lip sync “I Got You Babe.” Hoda’s commitment to the show is just one of the things her colleagues and fans will miss most about her when she leaves.

“Hoda has a relationship with every single person on this couch in her own way, so I think we’re all just struggling with that inside,” Sheinelle, 46, said after Hoda announced her big departure on Sept. 26. But we also know what a dynamic mom you are and presence you are and your whole movement with wellness, you’re going to change the world and we know it.
