Klay Thompson becomes the sixth player ever to make 2,500 threes

Everyone in the Golden State Warriors fandom has a special place in their heart for late franchise legend Klay Thompson. He left the Dubs after four championships, many broken records and a heart for a new challenge Dallas Mavericks.

And tonight he crossed a new threshold in his wonderful career, becoming the sixth player to make 2500 threes in a career.

Here’s the list (you might notice a familiar name on top of it, maybe a Splash Bro):

  1. Stephen Curry 3758
  2. Ray Allen 2973
  3. James Harden 2950
  4. Damian Lillard 2619
  5. Reggie Miller 2560
  6. Klay Thompson 2500

This is a huge feat for Klay, of course, but it’s magnified considering he lost two entire seasons due to devastating ACL and Achilles injuries. The Warriors helped bring him back to full health, and it’s great to see his legacy continue, even if it’s in a different jersey. Keep knocking them down Klay… just not against us!
