UP CM Yogi Adityanath visits Ram temple and greets people on Diwali

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the newly constructed Ram temple in Ayodhya during the Diwali celebrations on Thursday, as confirmed by officials. During his visit, he also paid respects at the Hanuman Garhi Temple.

On this festive occasion, the Prime Minister conveyed his best wishes and extended festive greetings to all residents of the state.
“The Chief Minister said that this year’s Diwali festival is historic and unprecedented. Ram Lalla has sat in his abode after a long wait of 500 years. Countless lamps will also be lit in the new temple built in Ram Lalla’s birthplace in Ayodhyadham,” the chief minister’s office said in a post on X in Hindi.

“The state government is re-establishing the age-old and glorious tradition of celebrating Diwali in Ayodhya by organizing ‘Deepotsav’ and is working to introduce the entire world community to the glory of Ayodhya,” it added.
Former chief minister and BSP supremo Mayawati extended her Diwali wishes on social media.
“Heartiest congratulations and best wishes to everyone on Diwali festival. Also best wishes to people on Bhai Dooj and Chhath Puja,” she wrote on X in Hindi.
